Kathmandu: The Kalimati Fruit and Vegetable Market Development Committee has announced the minimum wholesale prices for various agricultural products for Saturday.
According to the committee, the prices for tomatoes are as follows: large Indian tomatoes NPR 60 per kilogram, small local tomatoes NPR 20/kg, small tunnel tomatoes NPR 35/kg, and small Terai tomatoes NPR 35/kg. Red potatoes (local and Indian) are set at NPR 24/kg, and dried Indian onions at NPR 36/kg.
Other vegetables are priced as follows:
- Carrots: local NPR 50/kg, Terai NPR 40/kg
- Cabbage: local NPR 45/kg, Nariwal NPR 25/kg
- Cauliflower: local NPR 25/kg, Terai NPR 22/kg
- Radish: red NPR 30/kg, white local NPR 12/kg, white hybrid NPR 12/kg
- Long eggplant NPR 45/kg, round eggplant NPR 55/kg
- Peas NPR 55/kg
- Broad beans: local NPR 100/kg, hybrid NPR 90/kg, Rajma NPR 110/kg
- Pole beans NPR 60/kg, bitter gourd NPR 170/kg, bottle gourd NPR 60/kg
- Ripe pumpkin NPR 45/kg, green long pumpkin NPR 15/kg, green round pumpkin NPR 15/kg
- Turnip NPR 40/kg, okra NPR 100/kg, sugarcane NPR 60/kg, pumpkin shoots NPR 55/kg
For leafy vegetables:
- Rai-saag NPR 15/kg, spinach NPR 20/kg, chamchur NPR 20/kg, fenugreek leaves NPR 30/kg, green onions NPR 40/kg
