Kathmandu. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar on Thursday, during which both sides discussed the ongoing regional crisis following Israel’s military actions against Iran.
According to Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Araghchi expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s solidarity with Iran in this critical period. He briefed Dar on the recent Israeli attacks targeting Iranian government structures, nuclear facilities, civilian homes, hospitals, and the IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting).
“Israel’s belligerent behavior and expansionist agenda are the main sources of insecurity in the region,” said Araghchi. He urged the international community to unanimously condemn what he described as Israeli aggression against Iran.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar strongly condemned Israel’s military strikes on Iran and reaffirmed the full support of the Pakistani government and people for Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry added that the two ministers also discussed mutual cooperation to respond to what they called Israel’s “aggression” and explore avenues for regional stability and coordinated diplomatic efforts.
