Kathmandu: Preparations in the Pashupatinath area have been completed on the eve of Maha Shivaratri, one of the most significant Hindu festivals dedicated to Lord Shiva.
A grand procession was organized on Saturday by the Pashupati Area Development Trust as part of the celebrations. The procession saw the participation of sadhus and saints from Nepal and abroad, along with a large number of local devotees.
The procession covered most parts of the Pashupatinath area, creating a vibrant and spiritual atmosphere. Traditional shamans, locally known as Dhami-Jhakri, also took part in the event, adding cultural and religious significance to the celebration.
Maha Shivaratri will be observed tomorrow at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple. The Trust has stated that all necessary arrangements, including sanitation, security, and crowd management, have been completed to ensure that devotees can offer prayers and have darshan in a smooth and orderly manner.
