Kathmandu/Janakpurdham: The Nepali Congress has announced that its election manifesto will now be officially released from Janakpurdham.
Party spokesperson Devaraj Chalise stated that the previously scheduled manifesto release program at the party office in B.P. Nagar, Sanepa, on Sunday has been postponed. The event will now take place in Janakpurdham on Wednesday, February 6, 2026.
According to Chalise, the Congress will kick off its election campaign in the Madhesh Province with a public rally in Janakpurdham, during which the manifesto will be formally unveiled.
The Election Commission of Nepal has given political parties until Sunday to submit their manifestos ahead of the House of Representatives election scheduled for February 21, 2026. Chalise confirmed that while the manifesto will be officially submitted to the Election Commission on Sunday, the public release ceremony will be held on Wednesday in Janakpurdham.
