Kanchanpur. Authorities have announced that all border checkpoints connecting Kanchanpur district with India will be temporarily closed to ensure a free, fair, and secure environment for the upcoming House of Representatives election.
According to District Administration Office, Kanchanpur Assistant Chief District Officer Mohan Chandra Joshi, the closures will be enforced from 12:00 a.m. Monday, Falgun 18, until 12:00 a.m. Thursday, Falgun 21, the day of voting.
Officials said that starting from midnight on Falgun 20, all vehicles will be prohibited from operating until voting concludes, except those providing essential services. Exemptions include ambulances, traffic and emergency vehicles, fire services, telecommunications, hearses, hospital and electricity services, diplomatic vehicles bearing CD plates, and other vehicles with official authorization.
Authorities stated that the decision was taken to conduct the election in a peaceful, orderly, and dignified manner.
