Manama – A U.S. airbase in Bahrain has reportedly been damaged following an attack attributed to Iranian forces.
A video released by the Fars News Agency, linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), shows rocket strikes targeting distant locations. According to reports, the drone and missile attacks destroyed the command and staff buildings of the U.S. airbase in the Sheikh Isa area and caused explosions in fuel tanks.
There has been no official response from the United States regarding the attacks so far. Earlier, smoke was seen rising from the U.S. naval base in Bahrain.
Prior to the incident, the U.S. Department of State had issued travel advisories urging American citizens residing in Bahrain and other Middle Eastern countries to leave immediately.
