Kathmandu — Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Upendra Yadav, has said he respectfully accepts the people’s mandate after being defeated in the House of Representatives election from Saptari District constituency-2.
In a statement issued after the election, Yadav expressed gratitude to all voters who supported his party despite what he described as a challenging national situation marked by uncertainty and difficulties.
He also thanked party leaders and cadres who worked tirelessly during the election campaign, acknowledging their dedication and efforts throughout the electoral process.
Yadav emphasized that in a democratic system, the people’s decision is supreme, and therefore he accepts the election outcome with respect.
Reaffirming his political commitment, he stated that he would remain dedicated to the goals of equality, freedom, social justice, prosperity, and socialism in the country. He added that his party would continue its struggle for the identity, rights, and liberation of marginalized and excluded communities.
Yadav also congratulated all candidates who were elected in the election and stressed that cooperation among all political forces would be necessary to strengthen democracy in the days ahead.
