Lahan, Siraha – Ratna Auto Electronic EV Showroom, located at Lahan–Padariya Chowk, has officially launched the new model MG S5 EV, marking the beginning of its formal sales. The showroom has rapidly gained a notable presence in the local market within a short period.
The official unveiling ceremony took place on Monday with Manoj Banaita, President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Siraha, as the chief guest. Senior journalist Dineshwar Gupta, along with journalists Sital Sah, Mahesh Singh, and Ashish Sah, were among a dozen media personnel present during the launch of the new variant.
According to showroom owner Chetan Murarka, eight different EV car models have already been sold so far. “Customer interest and trust are growing steadily,” Murarka said, adding, “We’ve also partnered with Rastriya Banijya Bank to offer installment plans with just a 40% down payment.”
The showroom features a variety of models priced between NPR 2 million to NPR 10 million. Due to low maintenance costs, reliable availability of parts, and timely servicing, the demand among local customers is on the rise.
The newly launched MG S5 EV comes equipped with rear-wheel drive, independent suspension, and one of the world’s thinnest EV batteries. It is available in three variants, priced from NPR 4.399 million to NPR 5.499 million.
Both owner Murarka and co-owner Ajit Agrawal have invited potential buyers to visit the showroom for test drives and inspections, claiming that no other car in this price range offers such advanced features. The showroom also sells fuel-based vehicles alongside electric models.
