Kathmandu: The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has escalated further as Israel launched fresh attacks targeting refineries and oil depots near the Iranian capital, Tehran. The war between the two Middle Eastern nations has now entered its sixth day.
According to Reuters, the Israeli military intensified its strikes shortly after issuing a warning to Iran to evacuate designated areas around Tehran. Social media footage shared by users reportedly shows a massive fire near the Tajrish neighborhood in northeastern Tehran, indicating a direct hit on vital infrastructure.
The situation worsened early Wednesday when Iran launched around 10 ballistic missiles toward Israel. An Israeli military official reported that several of those missiles were intercepted, but explosions were still heard in Tel Aviv and other regions, signaling some successful impacts.
Both nations have signaled an intent to escalate the conflict, with continuous missile exchanges taking place over the past five days. The increasing intensity of attacks suggests that the region may be heading toward a prolonged and more destructive confrontation.
