Kathmandu – A high-level meeting of Nepal’s top three political parties, called to discuss current political issues, proceeded without the presence of Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre).
Despite expectations of a joint discussion among the leaders of the three major parties, only Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba attended the meeting at Baluwatar, the official residence of the Prime Minister.
According to sources, Prachanda was unable to attend the meeting as he is currently outside the Kathmandu Valley.
The meeting between Prime Minister Oli and Deuba focused on ongoing political developments, including the obstruction of the House of Representatives by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and other current political matters.
