Pyongyang. North Korea has strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iran, labeling them a “heinous act of aggression” and a serious threat to global peace.
According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), a spokesperson from North Korea’s Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in the Middle East, warning that Israel’s actions have dangerously increased the risk of a new war in the region.
“The Israeli military strike against the sovereign state of Iran is a flagrant violation of international law and a grave crime against humanity,” the spokesperson stated.
North Korea denounced the airstrikes as a direct attack on Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, accusing Israel of undermining global stability.
“This blatant aggression clearly proves that Israeli forces are the main culprits behind the destruction of world peace and security,” the KCNA report quoted the official as saying.
The statement comes amid growing global reactions to “Operation Rising Lion,” an Israeli offensive launched on June 13 targeting Iranian nuclear and military infrastructure. The operation has prompted a series of retaliatory responses from Iran, pushing the two adversaries into an intensifying conflict.
