Siraha, Nepal – A man was seriously injured in a knife attack by a teenage girl in Golbazar, Siraha district.
The victim, 24-year-old Ashok Kumar Mahato of Ward No. 13, who had been renting a room in Golbazar Municipality–4, was attacked by a 17-year-old girl from Golbazar Municipality–2. According to police, the girl stabbed him in the neck using a kitchen knife during a dispute.
Siraha District Police Office spokesperson DSP Birendra Kumar Paswan confirmed that the incident occurred following a heated argument between the two. Mahato is currently receiving treatment at Bhumija Hospital in Golbazar and is reported to be in serious condition.
Police took the girl into custody shortly after the incident and have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause behind the altercation.
