Kathmandu – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed that it has launched strikes on multiple Iranian military installations, particularly in western Iran. In a statement on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the IDF stated:
“The IDF has struck several military facilities in western Iran. This morning, we also targeted missile launchers that were being prepared for an attack against Israel.”
The IDF further added that Iranian forces were also directly targeted and claimed that “missiles fired toward Israel were intercepted and neutralized shortly after launch.”
In response, Iranian state media reported that Iran has carried out retaliatory strikes on several locations inside Israel, including the Ben Gurion International Airport, Israel’s primary international gateway.
According to Iranian sources, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) used long-range missiles in the operation. Other reported targets included Israeli military support centers, command and control facilities, and even a biological research center.
This marks a sharp escalation in the already tense standoff between the two nations, drawing global attention as both sides appear to be engaging in direct military confrontation.
International observers warn that continued attacks from both sides could trigger a broader regional war, with implications for global security and stability. Diplomatic efforts are now urgently needed to de-escalate the rapidly worsening crisis.
