Kathmandu – British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has commented on the recent U.S. airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, acknowledging the seriousness of Iran’s nuclear program as a threat to international security.
In a statement, Starmer said, “Iran’s nuclear program poses a serious threat to global security. Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, and the United States has taken this step to reduce that threat.”
He also emphasized the delicate situation in the Middle East, saying, “The situation in the Middle East remains extremely sensitive, and maintaining stability in the region must be a priority.”
Starmer urged Iran to return to diplomatic negotiations, appealing, “Iran needs to seek a diplomatic solution to end this crisis.”
The UK government continues to support peaceful diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further escalation in the region.
