Agency – Following Iran’s missile strike on a U.S. military base in Qatar, operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi were severely disrupted starting Monday night. Airport authorities have confirmed that a total of 48 flights—28 arrivals and 20 departures—were cancelled due to the unfolding crisis in the Gulf region.
Among the affected carriers, Air India cancelled 17 incoming and 10 outgoing flights, while budget airline IndiGo cancelled 8 arrivals and 7 departures. Other airlines together cancelled 3 flights in both directions.
The disruption comes amid airspace closures over Qatar and parts of the Gulf region, forcing several airlines to either cancel or reroute their operations.
Authorities have urged passengers to check with their respective airlines for real-time updates on flight status before heading to the airport. The situation remains fluid as tensions in the Middle East continue to affect global air travel.
