Kathmandu — The Israeli military has accused Iran of launching missile attacks on its territory, allegations that Iran’s official media have firmly denied. According to Iranian sources, reports of missile strikes on Israel after the ceasefire took effect are false.
In a statement, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Katz announced that he had ordered the Israeli armed forces to carry out heavy strikes on government-related targets in Tehran in response to what Israel calls Iran’s violation of the ceasefire.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran via a post on Truth Social. Following this, the Israeli government expressed its agreement with Trump’s ceasefire proposal.
Iranian Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi stated that if Israel halts its military operations, “we have no intention to carry out any retaliatory attacks.”
The situation remains tense as both sides accuse each other of ceasefire violations, but diplomatic efforts continue to maintain calm in the region.
