Washington/Tehran – U.S. President Donald Trump may soon decide to take “further steps” to halt Iran’s nuclear program, Vice President J.D. Vance announced on Tuesday. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Vance said, “The President has shown remarkable restraint in focusing our military’s attention on the safety of our troops and citizens. He may now decide that additional action is necessary to end Iranian uranium enrichment.”
The statement comes amid intensifying conflict between Iran and Israel, now entering its fifth consecutive day of aerial attacks.
Massive Explosion and Internet Blackout in Tehran
Reports from Iranian state media on Tuesday confirmed that loud explosions were heard across Tehran. The blasts occurred as Israeli airstrikes reportedly targeted Iranian military and nuclear facilities.
Adding to the chaos, widespread internet outages have been reported across several provinces in Iran, hindering access to news and communications. Iranian newspaper Ham Mihan noted, “Users across many provinces have widely reported internet disruptions.”
Although no official reason has been given for the blackout, the disruptions began shortly after Israel launched a large-scale air campaign on Friday.
As the situation continues to evolve rapidly, concerns are growing over a potential escalation and the broader regional implications of the conflict.
