Kathmandu: An Israeli hospital suffered damage and several people were injured following an Iranian missile attack. Israel has accused Iran of deliberately targeting the hospital, but Iran has denied these allegations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack on Twitter, stating, “This morning, terrorist dictators from Iran launched missiles at the Soroka Hospital and civilian population in Beersheba. The Iranian dictators will pay the full price for this.”
According to Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA), at least 65 people were injured in the recent missile strikes and are currently receiving medical treatment. Israeli military officials confirmed that Iran launched dozens of missiles targeting Israeli territory.
Israel specifically accused Iran of targeting civilian areas, including the Soroka Hospital located in southern Israel’s Beersheba.
However, Iran’s official media rejected these accusations. Iranian state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that the missile strikes did not target the hospital directly.
Iran stated that their missiles were aimed at a nearby military base adjacent to Soroka Hospital. The attacks were directed at the Israeli military command headquarters and a secret intelligence camp at the Ga-Yam Technology Park.
The report clarified, “The hospital was only affected by the blast wave and did not sustain serious damage. The military infrastructure was a precise and direct target.”
The incident has further escalated tensions between the two nations amid their ongoing conflict.
