Rajbiraj – An upper-level section of Krishna Academy, a school operating without proper authorization in Saptari, has been shut down following an official inspection.
The school, located in Ward No. 2 of Rajbiraj Municipality at Rajdevi Chowk, had been running classes up to grade 7 despite having approval only for grade 1, according to the Saptari Education Coordination Unit.
An inspection team led by the unit on Monday found the school in violation of its approved capacity, prompting the closure of its upper classes. The move follows an interim order issued on Baisakh 19 (May 1) by the Janakpur High Court, Rajbiraj Bench, which instructed the school not to admit students above the approved grade level.
“Despite repeated correspondence to comply with the court order, the school administration failed to act, forcing us to intervene and shut down the unauthorized classes,” said an official from the Education Coordination Unit.
School administrators have acknowledged their violation and signed a written commitment, agreeing to operate only within the approved limits. Authorities warned that operating additional grades beyond permission would result in legal action under the Education Act in the future.
