JSPN Chief Upendra Yadav Urges Voters to Resist Rumors Ahead of Election
Saptari — Upendra Yadav, chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, has appealed to the electorate to remain vigilant against carefully orchestrated misinformation, rumors, and conspiracy campaigns.
Yadav, contesting for the House of Representatives from Saptari Constituency 3, spoke on the final day of campaigning, saying, “At the decisive moment, many forces are active to weaken the people’s vote. Temporary confusion spread in a planned way seeks to make us forget history. But an aware voter does not get misled; they remember their struggle.”
He urged voters, “Do not get swept away by fleeting temptations or waves of rumors. Remember your sacrifices, your history, and your self-respect. Make decisions that protect your rights. Informed votes mean a strong Madhes, a secure future—this is our shared commitment.”
Yadav emphasized that the rights, identity, and dignity of Madhes were not gifts but achievements of sacrifice. “No one gave us these rights as a favor. Madhes earned them through struggles on the streets and in Parliament,” he said. “The only force that has consistently stood with Madhes in its joys and sorrows, in tears and struggles, is Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal.”
He further called on citizens to remain committed to federalism, autonomy, and the democratic republic, noting, “Today’s vote is not just about electing a representative—it sets the course for Madhes’ future. If we falter, our rights shrink; if we remain steadfast, our history is preserved. Conspiracies that weaken Madhes ultimately aim to weaken federalism.”
