Kathmandu – U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that his administration is seeking a solution better than a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while returning from the G7 Summit, Trump said, “We are not expecting a ceasefire — we are hoping for something better.”
When asked by journalists what could be better than a ceasefire, Trump responded, “A real end — not just a temporary halt.”
He emphasized the importance of long-term peace and reiterated, “We are doing very well right now. And remember — Iran can never be allowed to have nuclear weapons.”
In response to a question about whether he could do more for Israel, Trump remarked, “I want people to be safe.”
He also spoke about his call for evacuating people from Tehran, adding, “I want people to stay safe — that’s my priority.”
