Siraha, Nepal – June 20, 2025
Three people lost their lives in a tragic road accident this afternoon when a motorcycle and a bicycle collided along the Hulaki Highway in Laxminiya, Siraha Municipality–18.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Birendra Kumar Paswan of the District Police Office, the motorcycle (registration number Province 2–01003 Pa 3230) was traveling westward when it collided head-on with a bicycle coming from the opposite direction. All three individuals involved in the crash were critically injured and died during treatment.
The deceased have been identified as:
- Pradeep Mukhiya, 24, of Belha, Kalyanpur Municipality–2 (motorcycle rider)
- Naresh Mukhiya, 22, of Kalyanpur Municipality–12 (motorcycle passenger)
- Kuse Raya, 45, of Siraha Municipality–2 (bicycle rider)
The victims were rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Siraha, but doctors declared all of them dead on arrival. Their bodies have been kept at the hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have launched a detailed investigation into the cause of the accident.
