Kathmandu, June 20 – According to the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump will decide within the next two weeks whether America will directly involve itself in the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that President Trump believes there have been “sufficient opportunities for dialogue” on the matter.
Leavitt told reporters, “The President’s message is clear: given the notable possibility of negotiations with Iran in the near future, I will decide within the next two weeks whether the United States should take direct action against Iran.”
Gary O’Donoghue, BBC’s chief North America correspondent, noted that this statement opens the door to diplomatic possibilities amid rising tensions.
