Beirut: Two members of the Hezbollah group were killed in two separate Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, according to local media reports and security sources.
Lebanon’s official National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle at the western entrance of Bayt Lif village in southern Lebanon, resulting in one fatality.
In another incident, the Emergency Health Operations Center of Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health confirmed one death after a bulldozer used for road construction between Shakra and Barachit villages was struck by another drone attack.
Lebanese security officials told Xinhua news agency that both deceased individuals were affiliated with Hezbollah.
These incidents occurred despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah that has been in effect since November 27, 2024, which ended nearly a year-long conflict following the war in Gaza.
However, the Israeli military maintains that it continues occasional strikes in Lebanon to neutralize potential threats from Hezbollah.
