Kathmandu: The central working committee meeting of the Nepali Congress is continuing discussions on the date of the party’s 15th General Convention.
According to Congress leader Mohan Bahadur Basnet, Wednesday’s meeting held at the party headquarters in Sanepa focused on the proposed schedule of the upcoming convention, with several members expressing their views on the matter.
Basnet stated that the meeting also discussed the post-GenZ movement political context, issues related to the upcoming elections, and whether the party should hold a regular or special convention.
He emphasized that as a democratic party, the Nepali Congress allows open debate among its members and will reach a unified decision based on the nation’s priorities.
The meeting, which began on October 14 (Asoj 28), has been continuously deliberating on matters related to the party’s 15th General Convention.
