Syangja: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has pledged to deliver tangible results if entrusted with leadership, as part of his nationwide campaign ahead of the February 21 elections.
Addressing a public gathering in Waling, Syangja, on Thursday, Lamichhane urged voters to give his party a mandate to lead a stable government for five years. Having already campaigned in Chitwan, Rupandehi, Nawalparasi, and Kaski, Lamichhane reached Syangja as part of his ongoing election tour.
In a bold appeal to voters, he said, “Give us five years to build the nation. If we fail to deliver, you may use the very bell you rang today in support to ring us out.” His remarks drew strong reactions from the crowd gathered at Waling Bazaar.
Lamichhane also spoke firmly about accountability and integrity among his party’s candidates. He declared that if any RSP candidate elected from Syangja were to betray public trust, they would be brought back to the local square and subjected to whatever action the people deemed appropriate.
Supporters and locals had gathered along the streets of Syangja since early morning upon hearing of Lamichhane’s visit. After concluding the event in Waling, he departed for Palpa to continue meeting voters as part of the party’s election campaign.
