Kathmandu: The Koshi Province government has decided to register projects to be implemented by the province in the upcoming fiscal year with the National Planning Commission.
A meeting of the Koshi Province Council of Ministers held in Biratnagar on Thursday resolved to enlist projects under both general and special grants for the next fiscal year in the National Planning Commission. The decision was confirmed by Indramani Parajuli, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law and spokesperson of the Koshi Province government.
According to Minister Parajuli, the Cabinet also decided to table a bill to amend the Province Research Training Academy Act, 2079 (2022) at the Law, Justice and Provincial Affairs Committee. Additionally, the meeting agreed to forward amendments to the Project Selection and Classification and Project Bank Management Procedure to the Economic, Social and Infrastructure Committee.
Furthermore, the Cabinet decided to form a Provincial Level LDC Graduation Implementation Committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister to effectively implement the Smooth Transition Strategy.
